FUSION Fund-Raising Activities
More than 70 percent of FUSION’s annual operating budget comes from volunteer efforts. A substantial amount of this is raised at an annual Summer Art Event on the lovely grounds of Dumas Bay Centre in Federal Way, Washington. This popular social venue attracts more than 800 attendees and is the cornerstone of community funding for fulfilling FUSION’s mission to provide housing and support services to families facing homelessness.
Featuring a new and ever more fanciful theme each year, this gala, running since 1995, is held the first Wednesday of August. The Centre comes to life with decor, food, entertainment and fantastic works of art from local talent. Artists exhibit and sell their work, with a portion of proceeds donated to FUSION. Live and silent auctions feature a variety of goods, services, trips and experiences for bid.

The 2011 Event Fantasia on August 3 featured a spectacular evening of Asian inspired entertainment and food, exciting silent and live auction items, and fabulous creations from many well-known Northwest artists.
