Housing

Since its inception in 1993, FUSION has purchased nine condominiums through out the Federal Way Community. The units various locations are kept discreet to protect the client's privacy. The funding for all of the units has come from Community Development Block Grants from the King County CDBG Consortium.

Partnership with South King County's YWCA case managers guarantees a selective screening process as applicants must meet certain criteria to insure eventual self-sufficiency, before they are admitted to a FUSION unit. They may stay up to 15 months while in a retraining program. Each unit is tastefully decorated to be cheerful and functional to the needs of the family selected.

Managing and maintaining these beautiful units takes a considerable volunteer effort. The pride felt by its inhabitants is reflected in the hearts of the community volunteers. Plumbers and handyman offer services, while individuals volunteer furniture, household items, and thousands of hours a year to make FUSION the viable & vibrant organization it has become.
