What We Need

Homelessness can be reduced, one family at a time. You can help!

As a nonprofit organization, FUSION appreciates contributions from generous benefactors who help us give families experiencing homelessness a chance to start a new productive life in safe and secure homes. Your donations may even be tax deductible.

Babies Need Diapers

All babies have three things in common: they eat, they sleep, and you know the third one. Which means our shelter and housing families are always in need of diapers. This is an expensive purchase for parents on a tight budget, so we provide what we can.

Can you help us build our supply of baby diapers for the families we serve? We need sizes 4, 5 and 6, plus 4T and 5T pull-ups. You can drop off diaper donations at the FUSION Family Center, 1505 S. 328th St. in Federal Way.

Or contribute diaper-drive funds so we can stock up on these infant essentials. Note “Diapers” in the comment box, and please add your mailing address so we can thank you.

We Need Beds

There’s nothing quite so special as your own bed.
It’s a comfy place to lay your head
snuggling under a quilt that is spread.
And a bed is often where bedtime stories are read.
With all that being said,
FUSION needs lots of beds!

Do you have spare beds you can donate to our Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing families? We can use new or gently used mattresses, box springs, and metal frames. Twin, full, and queen sizes accepted. Nothing soiled, stained, saggy or smelly, please!

Contact us at 253-874-1257 or fusiondonation@gmail.com for drop-off instructions or to schedule a pick up.

You can also contribute funds for FUSION bed purchases. Note “Beds” in the comment box, please, and add your mailing address so we can thank you.

Toys Are Joy

For youngsters who have been traumatized by housing instability, having toys to play with can be calming and a comfort during stress. So we provide books, games and playthings for the children in our shelter and housing programs.

We can use new or gently used indoor and outdoor toys for all ages that keep kids entertained. Books and games, dolls and action figures, crafts and cuddly stuffed animals, coloring books and puppets are all popular.

If you have toys you can donate, please drop them off at the FUSION Family Center, 1505 S. 328th St. in Federal Way.

Or contribute funds so we can stock the toy box. Please note “Toys” in the comment box, and add your mailing address so we can thank you.

Household Items for FUSION Homes

Thank you for considering FUSION for your donation of usable household goods. The contributions help us provide comfortable and secure housing for homeless families.

Each of our housing units is fully furnished, including beds and furniture, appliances, kitchenware, dishes, linens, bedding, and even toys and games for children. We welcome all these items.

Kitchenware must be dishwasher safe. Bedding and linens should fit in home washers and dryers. Children require durable and safe furniture. (Antiques and upscale furniture can be donated to our Boutique store.)

All donations must be clean and in good condition. We do not accept broken furniture, appliances in need of repair, or anything that is significantly worn.
Items we most need that are replaced often are:
  • Gently used towels
  • Sheets, blankets and comforters for queen, double, and twin beds
  • Everyday glassware, dishes, silverware
  • Good quality pots, pans and cooking utensils
We also appreciate small sofas, chairs, dinette sets, coffee tables and nightstands, as well as lamps, pictures and accessories that make a house a home. Our needs are not always immediate so we store donations until they can be used.

To donate, contact the FUSION Storage Managers at 253-874-1257. Or email fusiondonation@gmail.com with a description of items and digital pictures if possible. We can pick-up large furniture and appliances.

Furniture and Décor for our Boutique Store

Proceeds from the FUSION Décor Boutique support our housing programs. Donations of clean, gently-used home furnishings in good repair are greatly appreciated. For large items, contact our Donation Coordinator at fusiondonation@gmail.com. Include your name and phone number, and a description (with photograph if possible) of each item you wish to donate.

If you would like to drop off items, please call beforehand at 253-839-4045 with a description of the items. Donation drop-offs are accepted only during business hours Tuesday to Saturday – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

In-kind Donations of Goods and Services

In addition to financial contributions, FUSION also appreciates in-kind donations.

Goods may be used, surplus, new or loaned. They might include items for our annual auctions, computer hardware and software, cleaning products, or office furniture, supplies and equipment. Meeting spaces or discounted use of facilities are helpful also.

Donations of service could be the skills of professionals and tradespeople such as printing, consulting, repairs and maintenance. An employer might also loan paid employees to help support our program projects.

Surprise us with additional ways you can contribute to FUSION!
